Attached to Magic

I am Mommy to a Magical Being I waited a long time to meet. My E keeps me on my toes and is constantly reminding me how to be even more- stretching and growing as a human, mother, womyn.

I have many sorts of Philosophies; most all of them are rooted in Attachment Parenting. We are exploring many avenues of learning and growing. I am blessed!

SEVEN months old!!

Almost sitting up (late April)

Playin w/Kaya

Visiting Grandpa

ACK! and what a beautiful last 8 weeks! MOBILE little monkey! He is so tiny he is like a mini-boy!!

We traveled to Grandpas in Tx.. It was a Loooooong Trip! Looong! I think e is permanintly scarred having to stay in his car seat so long! (eek)

He got to meet his Auntie Abbby and Cousin Ruth. Aunt Abby taught him to wrinkle his nose and Ruth taught him to wave.. SO CUTE!!!!!!!!

Our living room floor is obstacle course of couch pillows to cushion the edges of the furniture when E topples over and toys of all sorts.

He is pulling up a ton. He think he needs to stand- heck if he can get 4 inches off the floor w/crawling then why not another 10 inches- right?

We have an upturned laundry basket he uses to stand up and bang toys.

He loves Kaya and since she is starving for touch she Loves for E to pull her hair! silly dog!! I can just in vision in a small bit of time that he throws the ball for her and they'll be fast BFFs!

Here Comes Goodbye..

He's mobile.. POOF.. Like the blink of and eye! It seems that JUST last month I birthed this magical amazing soul! and now he is mobile. He doesn't enjoy nursing to nap as much already- he is liking sleeping in the bed!! (teary and shocked!) And he isn't into being worn as much b/c the floor is a myriad of possibilities..

Yes I realize that he is ONLY 7 months... BUT to think that I will only get to experience 1,2 Mayyyybe 3 more times is so sad.

I already miss the helpless infant he was- neeing me to support his head.

I am greatful that I didnt try to clock him. I feel greatful that I allowed the moments and hours to pass just loving havin him in my arms. If I had not taken Kallis advice and THROWN OUT THE CLOCK- I would have wasted so many beautiful moments. And now on the advice of Crystal M. I am learning to throw out the expectations- to embrace his FLOW. To embrace and trust this soul that chose Me to be his Mommy.

While each new thing he learns helps him grow more away from ME and into his own. The more way he get to be buddies and I get to learn about him as a being just as he is discovering me as a being.

ahhh.. So much love and saddness all in one moment.

he takes my breath away EVERY DAY!

Wanting, Knowing, Finding

Mommy- Wanting, Knowing, Finding,

Wanting him to wake up just so he can smile at you.
Knowing he needs to sleep, so you can sleep
Finding that being tired is so worth the smile you get in the morning

Wanting him to poop and pee so you know he is healthy
Knowing that poop needs cleaning.
Finding that washing his diapers is more fullfilling than you could have ever thought.

Wanting him to eat.
Knowing that means sitting down and taking time out.
Finding that Breastfeeding is truly magical- for both our health and the precious moments.

Wanting him in our bed
Knowing it takes adjustments
Finding that waking and seeing my DH and son beside me is priceless- no one wakes up in a cage.

Priceless.. all of it!
